I’ve never had a Brazilian wax before & I’m super nervous. How painful is it?

I was super nervous too, my first time. The best thing I can say to put your mind at ease is that I’ve been doing this for the better part of 20 years and I will walk you through the whole process. It only takes about 15 minutes and any discomfort doesn’t linger once you are done.

Remember, if it was really THAT painful, no one would ever do it.

I keep hearing I can’t work out or get into my hot-tub for a day, is that true?

There is A LOT of conflicting information out there. It can be really hard to know which advice to take. In my experience, there is very little you can’t do after you get waxed. Everything you’ve heard is designed to keep any potential side affects to a minimum. Don’t be afraid to continue with your normal daily routine, just be sure to follow all of your recommended aftercare asap. (oh, and stay out of chlorine for 24 hours, ‘cause OUCH!)

I recently shaved, I just couldn’t wait any longer! How long until I can wax again?

I understand that things come up and you may need to shave, however nothing will give you better results than consistent waxing (no shaving in-between). But if you really HAVE to shave, you will need to wait at least 2 weeks before you can get waxed again. Remember, it will probably be a little more painful your first time back but I promise to help you through it.

Damn! I started my period…can I still come get waxed?

Your monthly visitor is nothing to be worried about. It’s actually LESS painful to be waxed while on your period (right before you start can be a tad more painful tho). As long as you are comfortable with it, so am I. Just wear a tampon or cup during your session and you can still get waxed!

My skin is super sensitive and I hate all these ingrown hairs I keep getting. Will waxing help?

The short answer is yes but AFTER CARE is the key! Getting bumps and ingrown hairs is your skin’s way of telling you, “I need you to take care of me differently.” I like to recommend products one at a time. That way:

  1. You get used to adding a new product in to your daily routine

  2. You use it for at least 30 days, which is long enough for the magic to happen

  3. If it doesn’t work as well as you hoped, you know exactly which product it is and I can help you find one that better suits your skin

I’ve been waxed before but I never have completely smooth skin. What am I doing wrong?

There are a few things that you should always remember when you’re waxing:

  • Consistency is the most important thing. If you are not coming in every 3-4 weeks you won’t be 100% smooth

  • Proper after care of any area you wax is super important. I will make sure you have all the right products and info but it’s ultimately up to you to follow through

  • Shaving in-between waxes will affect your hair growth, which means it won’t grow back evenly

  • The more committed you are to your waxing, the better your results will be
